Home State Bank in Jefferson is celebrating achievements recently awarded to some staff members.
In July, Home State Bank’s CEO and chairman of the board, Sid Jones, received the prestigious 2022 Robert D. Dixon Founders’ Award at the Community Bankers of Iowa annual management conference and annual convention in Okoboji. This award was established in 2003 by Community Bankers of Iowa (then Iowa Independent Bankers). The Robert D. Dixon award recognizes bankers who have shown commitment, dedication, and relentless devotion to community banking.
“Sid Jones has been a leader in community banking for the state of Iowa for over 40 years,” said current bank president Bob Allen. “His commitment and dedication will serve lasting benefits to the community and his involvement in both large and small economic development projects have not gone unnoticed.”
In addition to Jones’ prestigious award, two members of Home State Bank, Allen and senior vice president and chief credit officer Adam Heun, have completed their coursework at the premier community banking school, the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, with Heun graduating in the top 10 percent of the class of 160 students.
Home State Bank recognizes these achievements with pride and acknowledges the dedication our team puts into their work for our customers and community.
